I had a blog post for this week, one that was pretty cool, too. But my wife is at a work conference all week, and I already edited a whole The Line Break<\/a><\/em> (now on Spotify!<\/a>) while solo parenting. Finishing that blog, the way I want it, is a little more than I have the bandwith for right now. It\u2019s about a museum exhibit and<\/em> has writing prompts, I\u2019m going all the fuck out, okay? Anyway, not sure people without kids can understand, but having a partner you do everything with suddenly disappear is basically like getting brain damage. <\/p>

So it\u2019s an ekphrasis week. <\/p>

It\u2019s gonna be an especially lackadaisical one, okay? <\/p>

This is the first image that caught my eye on Wikimedia Commons. I\u2019m not sure if these are real guitars, if this is a generated image, any of that. I just know these guitars are at a pool, and I would like to be at pool, with a guitar. <\/p>

Someone Buy Me A Nylon String Guitar<\/strong><\/p>

My own maturity process has involved a not-insignificant amount of \u201crealizing you shouldn\u2019t have to apologize for the stuff you like,\u201d but goddamn, it is great that nylon string guitars are having a moment in the 2020s. Between Animal Crossing<\/em> and the new Tim Henson signature<\/a>, people are having the energy that they should <\/em>have had when Seu Jorge did the soundtrack to Wes Anderson\u2019s greatest film. <\/p>

Every time I\u2019ve ever gotten a raise (roughly twice in 17 years, if you don\u2019t count changing jobs), I\u2019ve said \u201cI\u2019ll buy a nylon string soon.\u201d I still don\u2019t have a nylon string. <\/p>
